Discussion on Scholarship Funding and Academic Collaboration between Embassy of Ireland and Graduate School of Khon Kaen University

           On April 28, 2017, H.E. Mr. Brendan Rogers, Ambassador of Ireland to the Kingdom of Thailand accompanied with Mr. Seamus McHugh, Business Development Manager of Thailand’s Irish Education Agency, were presented for a discussion with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Surasakdi Wongratanacheewin, Dean of Graduate School, Khon Kaen University on scholarship funding and academic collaboration at AVANI Khon Kaen Hotel and Convention Centre.

           By this occasion, to reinforce ASEAN students, specifically who are from GMS countries that are Cambodian, Myanmar, Laos and Vietnam, scholarship and academic collaboration are agreed to be pushed to the success. Moreover, students and academic staff exchange for teaching and researching purpose will also be supported. In doing so, the MOUs between Irish Universities and KKU are to be activated and engaged with more Universities and curriculums. Dual degree for postgraduate programs is also decided to be arise. Hence, the selected programs for study or exchange are concerned for academic contribution.

           Hereafter, these issues are continuing discussed between the two parties to constitute the achievement of scholarship funding to happen in the nearly future.
