“Sustainable Rural Development Based on Sufficient and Creative Economy”


       The KOICA – TICA Joint Training Program was arranged by the Graduate School, Khon Kaen University between March 2 and 13, 2015 at Chada Veranda Hotel, Khon Kaen, Thailand, supported by Thailand International Development Cooperation Agency (TICA).

       The opening ceremony of the KOICA – TICA Joint Training Program was held on March 2, 2015, 9.00 am at Chada Veranda Hotel. There was the welcome speech delivered by Associate Professor Surasakdi Wongratanacheewin, Dean of Graduate School. Then, Mr. Wattanawit Gajaseni, the Director of Countries Partnership Branch (TICA), released the opening remarks for the training.

       This joint training program is under the collaboration between Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), the Republic of Korea and TICA, Thailand aiming at the expertise improvement on creative economy and sustainable rural development for participants in ASEAN members as a part of academic collaboration. The participants are from 6 countries: Cambodia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam. The program will help in building up the rounded understanding especially on rural development including lecture session, workshop session, and field trip lectured by expert lecturers of Master of Rural Development Management Program, International College, and Faculty of Agriculture.
